Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) is one of the Plasma protein that can be found in the blood plasma.
This analyte can indicate that the livers structural soundness is not what its supposed to be (Hepatic integrity).
When liver cells are damaged ALT is leaked into the blood plasma. Thats why this is a good indicator of liver health.
