Glycogen is the stored form of Glucose. When blood glucose is high, Insulin signals it to be stored as glycogen (mostly in the liver and muscles); when glucose is low, Glucagon breaks glycogen back down into glucose.

Not to be confused with Glucagon, the hormone.
