The measurement is “How much of the Hemoglobin is glycated” Which can be displayed in:
- mmol (glycated) / mol (total)
- A percentage (%) which is glycated divided by total
This biomarker is used to see someones average blood glucose over the last 2-3 months as red blood cells live around 120 days.
